Caesar Sandwich

Why it works:

Yield: 1 Sandwich

Time: 30 minutes

Pairing: sparkling water, lemonade, ice-tea, fries,

Equipment:

  • 1 1/2 in. circular cutter

  • non-stick skillet



Ingredients:

  • 2 Brioche slices

  • 1 tablespoon Butter

  • 2 tablespoons Best Foods Mayo

  • 1 Egg yolk

  • Romaine lettuce

  • Parmigiana Reggiano

  • Caesar Dressing

    • Egg yolk

    • Anchovies paste

    • Worcestershire sauce

    • Confit garlic

    • Parmigiana Reggiano

    • confit garlic oil

    • Lemon Zest

    • salt and pepper

  • Anchovy

  • Optional: Grilled Chicken or Salmon

Instructions:

  1. Confit Garlic with EVOO

  2. Make Caesar Dressing: Mix all ingredients except confit oil in a quart container with an immersion blender, slowly add oil.

  3. Build salad and set aside. make sure it holds together more than normal.

  4. Coat outside of bread, with mayo.

  5. Cut circular hole in top brioche slice.

  6. Heat butter in non stick.

  7. Toast bottom, and crack egg into top slice with hole, and toast removed punch.

  8. Optional: Grill or sauté proteins, and dice into small cubes, fold into salad.

  9. Using tongs, build sandwich, add toast point to plate with anchovy, and garnish with lemon slice.
