Hawaiian Teriyaki Chicken

Hawaii-style BBQ teriyaki chicken: boneless thighs soaked in a simple shoyu-sugar marinade, then grilled until sticky and charred. Plate-lunch style with two scoops rice and mac salad.
Notes
The longer it marinates, the deeper the flavor. Watch the grill: the sugar burns quickly.
