Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. water

  • 8 oz. demerara sugar

  • 8 oz. pecans

  • 2 Lemons

  • 1 tsp orange flower water

  • 1 tsp rose water

  • 2 whole allspice

Instructions:

  1. Toast the pecans until they are fragrant, then roughly chop them.

  2. Peel lemons, remove pith from zest.

  3. Bring water to boil, add sugar

  4. when sugar is dissolved add pecans, all spice and lemon zest and turn to low.

  5. Simmer for 1 hour then place in pan to soak over night

  6. Strain and add orange flower water and rose water

  7. Store in bottle, and keep refrigerated for 1 month.
